The ComeOut Festival is Australia’s premier festival of contemporary art, performance and creativity for children. In 2009 the event marked 35 years of inspiring imagination in the young people of South Australia.
Out of seven highly credentialed agencies Australia wide, BEVIN Creative became the chosen design agency for the 2009 Adelaide ComeOut Festival. Working closely with the festival team we developed and implemented a thematic and stylised brand, transferring it across all design collateral. The concepts where rolled through classrooms statewide in the form of lessons, both informative and interactive, by using “up to date” and “old school” technologies. The topics and poignant theme for this young peoples’ festival was Colliding Worlds, and the focus and aim of the festival team was for the children of Adelaide to experience this in various forms and areas of life, with particular focus on how things impact not just their lives but their environment, religion, technology, and many other facets of life.
